I’m Christine, founder and lead designer at Plant Girl Floral. Since starting this studio in 2021, we’ve had the honor of creating florals for over 400 weddings across New England, with a special love for the coastal celebrations that bring couples to Newport from all over the country. We’ve had the joy of designing for weddings at some of Newport’s most iconic locations, including Castle Hill Inn, Belle Mer, and other waterfront and mansion venues throughout the area. Each one has its own personality — Castle Hill’s cliffside drama calls for something different than Belle Mer’s open-air elegance — and part of our job is making sure your florals feel native to wherever you say “I do.”

If there’s one look we’re known for, it’s what we call Coastal Elegance: blue and white hydrangea, delphinium, and garden roses that mirror the sea just beyond the ceremony chairs. It’s romantic without being fussy, and it photographs beautifully in Newport’s natural light. But coastal doesn’t have to mean predictable — we love building this aesthetic in warmer palettes, moodier tones, or bold color for couples who want the feeling of the coast without the expected blue-and-white.
